Sleek glazed brick tiles add style and character to The Earl Apartments in Kew

White gazed brick facing tiles

In Melbourne’s Earl Street, Kew, only a minutes walk from the Willsmere Road shopping strip and 10 minutes walk from the Yarra River and its spectacular walking trails, you’ll find

The Earl apartments.

While it’s certainly true that apartment buildings can often resemble boxes stacked on top of one other with little character and variation, it’s definitely not the case at 35-39 Earl Street. The building’s interesting design and thoughtful use of brick facing tiles, supplied by Robertson’s Building Products, has created an attractive block of boutique apartments.

Constructed by Johns Lyng Commercial Builders these new, stylish apartments are a bright and fresh addition to Earl Street. Robertson’s Building Products’ white glazed tiles not only provide the building’s exterior with a hardwearing and clean surface, but also add character and interest to the window and balcony ledges, the details of which closely resemble hand-laid bricks.

The tiles were grouted to the surface, giving the appearance of a slightly larger mortar joint and reminding the passer by of yet another interesting variation you can achieve when using Robertson’s Building Products’ brick facing tiles.

So why not drop by and have a look next time you’re in the area, so you can see and appreciate the detail of The Earl Apartments?
